This I Believe
Your "This I Believe" essays were both informative and inspiring. I hope you each are willing to share yours. Simply add it to this thread so others can read and comment.
This I Believe When I stay up late to finish a yearbook page, when I push myself to take that last step and score a goal, or even when I wake up early in the morning to go fishing, all of these situations revolve around one central belief, my core value, passion. Now maybe the first thing that comes to your mind when the word passion is said is the opposite sex, or an emotional outburst. But for me passion is the reason I wake up in the morning. It’s the reason I keep myself involved in a vast amount of activities. My own personal definition for passion is a strong enthusiasm for something, and that something is life. The reason passion is considered my core value is because I try to live by it each day. I always strive to do everything the best I can, because what’s the point of doing something if you’re only going to do it halfway? You don’t love someone with only half of your heart. So why go through life with that same lack of enthusiasm? If the worst thing anyone ever has to say about me is that I give too much of my heart, then by all means, I’ve been living my life to the right kind of standards. Surely everyone has some kind of passion, even if it’s for old cars, or fine art. For me, passion isn’t just a way of life; it’s the way of life. So when the yearbook comes out and everybody gets to see it, I score the winning goal, or come home with the biggest fish my family has ever seen, I always try to remember without passion the goal is always harder to achieve.
I really enjoyed reading this! I had no idea you are so passionate about life, I love it! All the hard work you guys put into the year book always pays off. Kudos my friend.
